Prescott boys varsity soccer got their third win of the season Tuesday against Dysart High School. The Badgers scored their first goal in the 35th minute when Westen Tenney received a pass from Carlos Rivera inside the 18 yard box. Tenney headed the ball over the keeper when an opposing defender purposely used his hand to stop the goal from scoring. This action resulted in a red card for the opposing player and a penalty shot and score for Tenney. Dysart played the remainder of the game with 10 men on the field.
The Badgers scored their second goal on a Brennen Gallus pass to Tenney just over halfway through the second half. Tenney put the ball neatly in the back of the net. The victory was sealed with quick passes and solid defense by the entire team. Many other Badgers came close to scoring on numerous occasions.
The Badgers host Cactus High School this Thursday at home. Kickoff is at 5pm.
