Despite losing a close one to Payson two badger wrestlers solidified themselves as contenders in the Division 3 race. Freshman Jackson Perkins had an impressive 6-0 victory over a returning state qualifier from Payson to move his record to 7-0 on the season. Landen Francis improved to 7-0 with a first period pin of a solid wrestler from the Longhorns squad. The badgers embark on a tough 2 match stretch with perennial area power Chino Valley on Tuesday and one of the best wrestling teams Bradshaw has had in several years on Wednesday.
