JASON PRIDIE – Class of 2002 – MLB

Jason Pridie is an American professional baseball outfielder who is a free agent. He has previously played in Major League Baseball (MLB) with the Tampa Bay Rays, Minnesota Twins, New York Mets, Philadelphia Phillies, Baltimore Orioles, Colorado Rockies, and Oakland Athletics. Pridie was drafted out of PHS, where he hit a record-setting 13 triples, by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays in the second round (43rd overall) of the 2002 Major League Baseball Draft.

JOHN DENNY– Class of 1970 – MLB

John Denny is a former right-handed Major League Baseball pitcher from 1974 to 1986 for the St. Louis Cardinals, Cleveland Indians, Philadelphia Phillies, and

Cincinnati Reds. He won the Cy Young Award in 1983. John was born in Prescott, Arizona, and attended PHS. He excelled at sports, playing football and basketball as well as baseball. In the 1970 amateur draft, he was selected by the Cardinals in the 29th round. He made his professional debut that year at the age of 17.

BAYARD FORRESTAttended PHS 1969-1970 – NBA

Is a retired American professional basketball player. He was a 6’10” 235 lb center who played at Grand Canyon University before being drafted by the Seattle SuperSonics in the 1976 NBA Draft. Forrest never played for the Sonics but played two seasons for the Phoenix Sunsbefore retiring in 1980.

DON CORBITT– Class of 1944 – NFL

Was an American football offensive lineman in the National Football League for the Washington Redskins. He played college football at the University of Arizona and was drafted in the 28th round of the 1948 NFL Draft.

KATHERINE PETERS – (2015) Volleyball, Saint Anselm College

Kate received an athletic and academic scholarship to play Division II volleyball at Saint Anselm College in New Hampshire, where she currently plays as a freshman. She played volleyball at both PHS and six years with with the Yavapai Juniors Volleyball Club, under the direction of both Matt Cohen and Rachel Williams.

Junior season placed seventh in Yavapai County Championship in 21:29 for 5K and set career-best 5K of 20:55.10 in AIA 4A Division I State Championship to place 25th
Senior season placed seventh in Division 2-Section 1 meet in 21:25.03 for 5K and placed 56th in AIA Division II State Championship in 22:08.9
Sophomore track season ran primarily 3200 meters
Placed third in 3200 in dual meet with Desert Edge in 16:50.0; two weeks later took nearly three minutes off her time with 13:29.78 to place eighth
