Girls Varsity Basketball · New Girls Varsity Basketball Coach

Coach Jami Johnson graduated from Bradshaw Mountain High School in 1996, where she was a four-year Varsity starter, received several All-Conference awards, and was the first girl to score 1,000 points for their program. Coach Johnson also spent time in high school playing softball and was on the Arizona High School Rodeo team. Coach Johnson’s first love has always been basketball though. She graduated with her bachelor’s degree in Educational Studies from Western Governor’s University and will complete her master’s degree in Secondary Education with an emphasis in Humanities at the end of this year. She is currently the Online Class Coordinator at Prescott High School.

Coach Johnson has over 10 years of high school coaching experience in New Mexico and Arizona. In 2002, she took the program at Mayer High School in Mayer, AZ. over and that first year was voted 2A North Canyon Region Coach of the Year. Her passion for being a mentor, coach, and educator has grown tremendously and she finds that she loves to coach just as much as she loved to play.

Coach Johnson’s family includes her husband Mike, sons, Tyler 23, Burley 12, & Bassett 10. In her spare time, she loves to hang out with her extended family, watch her three boys play sports, and run barrels. Coach Johnson has just recently been living back in the Prescott area the last couple years and could not be more honored and excited to be the next Girls Basketball Head Coach for Prescott High School.
